There's been a lot of confusion the last couple of years about hoodies, so here's the simple answer.
Hoodies (zip up or sweatshirt style) are allowed to be worn outside for recess.
Anything with a hood is NOT allowed to be worn as another layer in the classroom at any time (even free dress Fridays).
We know our scholars love them, but they've proven to be too much of a distraction for teachers to have to continually ask hoods to be pulled down.
Suggestions for dress code approved classroom layers:
- Solid color sweatshirt (or Leman/collegiate logo)
- Solid color sweater (button or zip cardigan, pullover, or quarter zip)
- Solid color fleece or track jacket (no hood)
